ForgeSchema Now Manages Enums, Arrays and Views
ForgeSchema 0.4.0 reads, plans and verifies enum types, array columns and plain views, which many real PostgreSQL schemas couldn’t be managed without. When a plan renames, converts or drops a column a view reads, the views are dropped first and created again after, in dependency order, in the same transaction. It runs on PostgreSQL 16, 17 and 18, and a GitHub Action now posts plan --explain on pull requests and fails the check when a plan is blocked.
The independent review found four things to fix and the second round one more, all fixed with tests before release. It follows 0.3.0, which added online index builds.
